Actress Kuriyama Chiaki attended the press conference which was held at a church in Tokyo, for the upcoming CG animation film “Dragon Age -Blood Mage no Seisen-“.
Kuriyama voice acts the main character “Cassandra”, and this is the first time for her to take the lead role for a full-length anime film. Kuriyama commented, “I was able to enjoy it, since it felt like as if I was acting for a live-action movie. I swear it will be something that is worth watching, because I seriously put a lot into it.”
Singer and occasional voice actor Gackt will contribute his new song "Graffiti" for the new opening theme song of the television anime series Sket Dance. The CD single for the song will go on sale on November 30.
Gackt already voiced a guest role in the anime as Dante, the vocalist of a high school visual-kei band named JardiN. Gackt himself was the former vocalist of a visual-kei band named Malice Mizer, and original manga creator Kenta Shinohara openly acknowledged that he modeled the popular character Dante in Gackt's image. In addition to voicing the character, he performed the "Iki Toshi Ikeru Subete ni Tsugu" song for the 17th episode as Dante. It was his first song performed as an anime character.
The anime premiered in April. In the story, Yūsuke "Bossun" Fujisaki (Hiroyuki Yoshino) and several students in his high school form a "Sket Group" to solve any trouble in the student body. The "Kaimei Rock Festival" storyline that featured Gackt's character Dante is set during the school's live event of the same name.
Gackt has contributed theme songs for the live-action Kamen Rider Decade series, the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation film trilogy, the New Fist of the North Star video project, and the Texhnolyze television series.
On August 24th, the Blu-ray disc of "Rurouni Kenshin - Meijikenkaku Romantan -" will be released and for this reason Nico Nico Live will be airing the series in three countries at once. Included are Japan, the US and Canada, all scheduled for August 20th 2011.
The airing will include the "memorial version" of the disc, featuring a total of four episodes, namely "Kiru Otoko", "Mayoi Neko", "Yoi no Satoyama" and "Juuji Kizu".
From 2:00 pm Japanese standard time the airing is scheduled to tale place and upon success of the project, further airings in September are planned.
The TV anime is currently celebrating its 15th Anniversary with a number of other releases, such as a "Rurouni Kenshin Complete Collection" compilation CD.

It has been revealed that GACKT will be featured as a voice actor and singer in the TV Tokyo anime “SKET DANCE“!
GACKT will be portraying the character of Dante, lead vocalist for visual kei band, JardiN. The writer of the original manga, Shinohara Kenta, commented that GACKT was the inspiration behind the character of Dante, so it is very fitting to have GACKT be the voice of the character. Sharing his thoughts about playing the role of Dante, GACKT commented, “He said he wants me to bring my image up front so I thought that I will do my best not to change my image.”

“SKET DANCE” is a comic that Shinohara started writing for “Shuukan Shonen Jump” back in 2007, and it started running as a anime series on TV Tokyo in April 2011.
“SKET DANCE” is a school support group at Kaimei Gakuen that was made to help solve the problems that are found in the school grounds. The three members of the group (Bossun, Himeko, and Switch) tackle any small problems head on try to solve them. This manga won the 55th Shogakukan Manga Award.

GACKT’s character Dante is a talented singer who makes an appearance in the “Kaimei Rock Festival“, sweeping away the audience with his strong vocal skills and talent. GACKT commented, “In terms of the song, I got the offer as a super singing high school teen. In fact, Dante is normally a very quiet person but when he gets on stage he is amazing. After I finished recording, I told the producer that you’ll never find a high school teen this talented.”
GACKT’s character Dante will be making his first appearance on the July 14th episode and will be making his appearance on “Kamei Rock Festival” on July 28th’s episode.

Four member rock band, ONE OK ROCK has announced that they will be making an appearance at music festival in Korea titled, “JISAN VALLEY ROCK FESTIVAL 2011” (July 29th~31st). Although ONE OK ROCK has attended some domestic big music festivals, such as “SUMMER SONIC” and “ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL”, this will be their first attendance for a music festival overseas. Their appearance will be made in the middle of the festival on July 30th.
ONE OK ROCK also announced that their never-been-released song “NO SCARED” has been chosen as the theme song for new PSP game soft “Black★Rock Shooter THE GAME” (Imageepoch) which will be released on August 25th, and the song will be released as digital single on May 8th.
We have reported that GACKT has been selected as the dubber for the anime "SUPERNATURAL: THE ANIMATION" which is adapted from the hit TV drama. On January 19th, the post recording was held in Tokyo.
"I like the work in which I can express feelings through my voice." said GACKT, and it's been "happier than ever" to him.
Now he is travelling all over the country for the stage production "Nemuri Kyoshiro Buraihikaei". Today he will start the performance in Sendai and will return to Tokyo by February. GACKT revealed his ambition that "I want to get a license of helicopter." because "It would be fun if I can fly a helicopter to the live.". Let's look forward to it.
Bluray and DVD of "SUPERNATURAL: THE ANIMATION" will be on sale since February 23rd.
The Japanese singer and actor Gackt will voice a guest role in Supernatural the Animation, MADHOUSE's video anime series based on the live-action American television series Supernatural. The original live-action series follows the Winchester brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) as they hunt creatures and other supernatural phenomena across the American landscape.
Gackt will play Andy, a character who appeared early in the live-action series. Like Sam Winchester, Andy received special powers from a demon as one of the chosen "Special Children." Andy will be a crucial character in the "Erabareshimono-tachi Zenpen" (The Chosen Ones Part I), which is the last episode of the first anime season.
According to Eiga.com, Gackt watches many overseas live-action television series, but the original Supernatural series is one of his favorites. He will make a guest appearance at the world premiere of the anime version on February 3. Warner Home Video will launch the anime on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan with a starter disc on February 23, followed by two boxes on March 9 and April 6.
Padalecki and Ackles will dub two episodes in the second box into English, along with their Japanese dubbing counterparts Yuya Uchida (Soul Eater's Dr. Franken Stein, Naruto Shippuden's's Rinji) as Sam and Hiroki Touchi (Trinity Blood's Abel Nightroad, Bokurano's Kokkpelli) as Dean. Gackt himself has voiced roles Tono to Issho, Shiki, and New Fist of the North Star. He alsonarrated last year's commercial for the Berserk anime project.
