On August 15th, SUGIZO has just released his song "ENOLA GAY" for download. The track has until now never been released by itself and was only included on the live DVD of his performance held in 2008.
The title "ENOLA GAY" originates from the name of the airplane that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima in 1945, making Japan surrender the war. This once again shows that SUGIZO is not afraid to show his strong political and environmental standpoint, which is quite exceptional for a Japanese artist.
Having the song released in times of nuclear crisis in Japan, it also includes a prayer for peace and the hope for abandonment of nuclear power all the same.
