On August 14th 2011. X JAPAN have been performing at one of Japan's largest international music festivals SUMMER SONIC at Makuhari Messe. Right before their performance at the QVC Marine Stadium, they held a brief press conference, showing their fighting spirit for the upcoming performance.
"It has been more than 20 years since the formation and I didn't think that right at this time we would be performing at such an international event", YOSHIKI said.
X JAPAN opened their show at sunset with their recent single release "JADE", but also made sure to include their signature songs "ENDLESS RAIN" and "Rusty Nail". Moreover, YOSHIKI also conveyed his feelings towards the victims of the Tohoku Earthquake, along with Taiji and hide, as he asked the audience of roughly 30,000 people for a silent prayer before continuing with the concert.
With all their power, band and fans finished off that nights performance with "X", having the masses jump in synchrony crossing their arms and making the venue shake.
